Holiday Dressing, Hold The Pin Curls!
It's been official for a good amount of time now, both faux and genuine fur are back to stay. Every cold weather season for the past few years it has appeared to adorn and trim and keep us warm with a bit of panache'.
Banish the thoughts of Doris Day in her hey day or your Auntie all splendid in a blue rinse and string of pearls ready to hit the town. Fur accessories are just plain sexy and with the ever widening popularity and political correctness of manufactured fur it can come in a variety of colors and forms.
Examine the case of the evening stole. Once cast off as a relic of the 50s it's become a staple in the wardrobes of such persons as modern day very hip, very cool burlesque performers - as showcased here at Coquette Faux Furriers
Who can argue with the lovely Dita Von Teese on what's sexy (or not).
Actually the stole - if you've ever worn one is really quite practical and not just icing on the cake so to speak. If you're dressed in a glam evening gown or cocktail dress you'll find more often than not your shoulders are bared and the stole provides just enough warmth and weight.
Landing upon Donna Salyer's Fabulous Furs (The World's Finest Faux Furs) during my web search I found this drool worthy number in my personal all time favorite, sable;
if this doesn't keep the goosebumps at bay I don't know what will!
(And unlike the real thing it won't leave your wallet as empty as a dark cavern in the Urals).
Winter weddings are the ultimate special occasion and a prime opportunity to showcase the stole. One here from Mega Faux Furs fits the bill perfectly
Fake (and real) fur can also come in a myriad of colors, evidently, and though I'm partial to the mundane natural colors of real fur and it's imposters they're worth a consideration for those thinking outside the box....
Real fur stoles can be the ultimate statement of luxury, beauty and warmth but that of course is open to argument and hinges on your stand point and opinion on their existence to begin with, so we'll leave the decision to wear or not to wear to the individual. No comment at this time :)
Whatever your inclination, real, fake, in natural hues or imagined, if you have a holiday party to attend, are planning your wedding day wardrobe, been invited to a Valentine's Day dinner, or have any opportunity to paint the town or make an appearance it's worth considering donning the stole.
It's perfect way to give a nod to the ghost of fashion past while saying " why yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a bit of style".

Hey there,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Great Blog!! I personally loved your
pics .... Must admit you have a great sense of style. Keep up the good
work.I have enjoyed reading your blog and thought of dropping in a word …
PS: I have initiated an idea to create a fashion and style blogroll where
bloggers from the jewelry, fashion, style and beauty could participate.
All you need to do is to add my blog link to your blog and i'll do the
same.
That way, we could have a mutual partnership and we could refer visitors to
each other's blog.
Please let me know if you would be interested.
Thanks!

Always loved fur, but always felt guilty about it. Vintage fur removed the guilt-factor and there are so many out there to choose from. Thanks for your blog!
